Abstract

The nyzeh koh Section is 62 km away from southwest of Damghan. The mountain road about 7 kilometers south of the village abkhory Hmyrd iron ore mine located. The Bahram Formation in this section is uninterruptedly situ- ated on the Padeha Formation with mid-Devonian age. The Jamal Formation with Permian age covers the Bahram Formation in a fragmented manner. The Bahram Formation is 78 m thick in reza abad Section. From lithological perspective, it is mostly composed of limestone and maronite limestone which includes numerous fossils of bra- chiopods. The study of brachiopods of Bahram Formation in this section led to identification of the some taksa brachiopods such as, Devonoproductus sp, Productella subaculeata, Cyphoterorhynchus koraghensis interposittus, Cyphoterorhynchus koraghensis, Ripidiorhynchus elburzensis, Ripidiorhynchus kermanensis,Paropamisrhynchus kotalensis Tenticospirifer cf. tenticulum, cyrtospirifer verneuili, Cyrtospirifer schelonicus, , Uchtospirifer multiplica- tus, Uchtospirifer multiplicatus minor, Rigauxia hutkensis Athyrischitralensis, Athyris spsignificance of brachio- pods, the age of Bahram Formation in Frasnian nyzeh koh Section should be defined.
