Abstract
Language and myth are among concepts which are considered as most fundamental concepts in the epistemology and are closely related to each other. Linguistic and mythical awareness have mutual relation. Mythical and lingual epistemology are less artificial and this is myth that forms the history of any people, similarly the language is a thorough mirror of culture of a nation and one can note that the language is the source of human experiences throughout years and knowing and understanding it can be considered as obtaining an epistemological source.. Language has a prominent role in making reality. Scientific study in any field follows certain epistemological basis. Qualitative and interpretative studies in the field of myth and language analysis unfold a new demonstration of cultural source for modern researchers. In this paper, we analyze the relation between language and myth in an- cient Iran and we shed light on development and relation between Iranian language and myths in three stages, ancient, middle and modern era. The stress is on narrative analytical method. Understanding concepts of language and myth boosts the interpretative and epistemological ability. Iranian languages play a significant role in survival of Iranian myths. The importance of holy word (Manthara) in ancient scripts especially in Avesta accounts for the importance of speech. It acts as a tool for Iranian thinking and understanding and from other side, the language and myth is considered as a scaffold for Iranian society self-awareness.
