Abstract

Rock salt is also known as halite it is one of the most well known substance. It is used to treat the skin disorders, pain inflammation cold and citric acid is one of the major constituents in lemon approximately 5-6% present as a ph of 2-3. It is used as a short term preservative, as a flavoring agent, pudding and other dishes. Both the materials are well known in India traditional medicine and having many medicinal properties. The sample is prepared by mixing the rock salt and citric acid the mixture obtained is crucible and heated on the hot plate at 180-200°C and the sample is characterized by FTIR. Further the sample will be analyzed through NMR and Mass spectroscopy.
