Abstract
Cassia species have been of keen interest in phytochemical and pharmacological research due to their excellent medicinal values. They are rich source of anthraquinone derivatives, flavonoids, polyphenols and polysaccharides. Investigation of organic extract of Cassia tora led to the isolation of a new isoprenyl anthraquinone. The structure was elucidated by spectroscopic evidences.
