Abstract

Present study evaluates the effectiveness of marital therapy, rational-emotional - behavioral (REBT) through the
mediation of emotional intelligence (EQ) in reducing irrational beliefs and increase their marital satisfaction and
psychological well-being of couples. In a recent research a group of students participated married Tehran Psychiatric Institute on all forms of emotional intelligence and mental satisfaction and psychological well-being irrational
beliefs was at the beginning, after evaluating EI wives and scale (EQ-time-ren) Married students into two groups,
couples compatible (high emotional intelligence) and couples discordant (low emotional intelligence) and on the
division of marital satisfaction on the basis of marital satisfaction scale program couple intervention were treated.
Thus, the population of twenty couples into two groups based on emotional intelligence scale compatible couples
(10 couples) and incompatible couples (10 couples) agree that rational-emotional intervention of couple therapy -
treatment (REBT) On them and a control group (10 couples) that no intervention is done on their effectiveness
Rational emotional and behavioral couple therapy (REBT) On increasing couples' marital satisfaction and psychological well-being reduction of irrational beliefs using emotional intelligence (EQ) were studied, that results
demonstrated the effectiveness of marital therapy, rational-emotional - behavior and irrational beliefs reduction
and increased marital satisfaction and psychological well-being of couples.
