Abstract

Identification of diterpene glycosides present in the commercial extracts of the leaves of Stevia rebaudiana was achieved by employing a reversed-phase (RP)-high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method using charged aerosol detector (CAD). Using the RP-HPLC method, the individual retention times for 26 naturally occur- ring ent-kaurane diterpene glycosides identified from S. rebaudiana were identified. Further, the HPLC method  has been successfully utilized in identifying the presence of various steviol glycosides from the crude stevia ex- tracts obtained from Pure Circle, Stevia Food (ShenZhen) Company Limited, Heilongjinag Hailin Farm Stevia Refi- nery, Qingdao Sanfood Company Limited, DIC LifeTec Company Limited, and Daepyung Company Limited.
